This coffee is grown within traditional agroforestry systems — shaded under fruit and forest trees rather than in open monoculture — which slows ripening further and builds greater aromatic complexity. It’s handpicked by smallholder farmers who selectively harvest only fully ripe cherries, often making four to five passes through each plantation across the October–January harvest season.
Cameroon remains one of the least-explored specialty coffee origins in the world, often called “Africa in miniature” for its extraordinary ecological and cultural diversity. Tasting this coffee isn’t repeating a familiar experience — it’s discovering one.
